The nutrition label tells a very different story, and it's worth actually reading it before you keep assuming this is a health food. The Sugar Math Is Not Subtle A lot of popular granola bars contain somewhere between 10-15 grams of sugar per bar — comparable to, and in some cases higher than, a standard serving of chocolate candy. The American Heart Association recommends most adults keep added sugar intake under roughly 25-36 grams per day total.
